quick fuse question....

im planning on doing a carputer install to replace my head unit. The PSU i have is a 100 watt arise dc-dc converter that takes 18 amps input with an inrush up to 30 amps. i also am hooking up a line driver and (maybe) a 6 ch passive eq. My question is this:

instead of running power from the distribution block, since im not using the radio power anymore, can i use this as a power source. It is fused at the fusebox, but that fuse may be too small.

So my real question is, can i up the amperage on the fusebox fuse if it is too low, or is this dangerous (ie, too many amp fuse = fire)?

Any ideas?

i think i would put a 35 amp fuse back there, because the line driver shouldnt take more than 2 amps and the eq would be 3 at most....

thanks for the opinions

the factory radio power will be good for the line driver and eq.
but 18 to 30 amps need to come from the battery for the power supply
and maybe a relay to switch it on and off

Im going to use the Jeff Muchas shutdown controller and the PSU should go off with the board (it is ATX). But my radio fuse is currently (i think) 25 amps. i mean i can wire it from the distribution block (basically the battery in my car), but there is what looks like 10 or 12 ga wire for the radio power, and if it is fused to handle it shouldn't i be okay?.....
