Post Dont kill me - Im a harmless newbie....

Even though I am a harmless newbie, I know how to set up a PC.. That isnt the problem.
The problem lies in - 1) Power in a car - Ive read about AC-DC and DC-AC stuff.... its all crap to me. I need to be learned.. heh heh. All I know is that I have a 200W psu on the mobo. 2) Grounding ? I dont wanna blow anything up, and I have heard grounding is a big issue - someone please run me thru it. 3) Audio Input - I have seen a sweet looking wired FM modulator for $25 on ebay that hooks directly up to your stereo antenna, but im wondering what other routes I can take. I no longer have an Amp (I regret selling it now).
Ive installed my own head unit, and wired amps and speakers and everything, so im not clueless - im just really new to the mp3car deal.
I really appreciate whomever tackles my questionaire. Thanks much.

we've discussed all of these problems in great detail before. read all of the posts ever made and you WILL get your answer. If it turns out that you have a unique problem, THEN post it. bang youre dead.

here are other ways if you did not get reed of the amps.

you can buy dual input switcher or run a preamp eq alott of them come with dual inputs and have the volume control on the pre-amp eq.

Yeah - ok so I deserved it ?
I have no intentions of going through the 6000 some posts on the hardware thread alone. I was HOPING someone had published some sort of a FAQ thing that would help me out, and someone could hook me up with the link. The mp3car FAQ doesnt help me much at all. You know - knowledge may be power, but why the hell do you have to be such an *** about it ? I did ask nicely, I didnt deserve the ****ty response you gave me.

If you are not willing to open up your CD Player and rewire it to accept an audio input (which is not that hard), then u might want to take the FM mod. Honestly your sound quality won't be terrible but, u will be able to tell the difference between the FM mod and a direct line in

It really wasn't all that rude of a response, it just had a touch of humor.

Actually, your post was to the point, but wizardpc is right, it's been discussed in great detail. You don't have to sort through all the hardware posts, you can just do a search for "grounding" , "powering pc" , and "audio input" .

I really hope you don't get offended and leave this forum because it's really helpful, useful, and informative, and one more person added to it all would be great.

Great post, Wizard. Come on Newbies, do some work like the rest of us did! Translation of a post such as this (which are becoming far too frequent) is: "Okay everybody, do some more work so I don't have to." I hate to be a jerk, but this is getting ridiculous.
