My problem is that the speakers come with a dolby digital decoder, so i would need a usb device for the notebook, which could output spdif, or even better coax. If i get it right the audio needs to be undecoded dolby digital, so the speakers can decode them and output them correctly.
Is there such device???
thanks

Creative labs makes one, but it is $100 and also does the decoding. It will output the digital for you though. If you are buying a laptop, look for one that has digital out. My 4 month old Compaq has SPDIF out, and so does my brothers 3 year old Dell
