Portabl MP3 Car Player : Can they work with existing car cd Players?

I am a new to this mp3 tech. I came to know that there are portable mp3cd player available in the market. which plays mp3 recorded on cd. It comes with car kit. Which enables the car cassette player to play the external music. However, my car has cd player built in. And I want to play external music, especially mp3 how cam I do that ? Is there any other tool which enables me to use external mp3 into my car ?

This might also be an option. Does your cd player have aux in? then you could directly hook it up to your player

This is one of the best and cost effective option to play MP3 in car. But my car is Nissan Sentra 1999 GXE. And it does not have aux in.

FM modulators, I've heard, tend to have crappy sound, but that's certainly one way you could go. You could also just buy a cheap-*** tape deck with aux in, since you'd have a CD player on the portable anyway. Or it's also possible your CD player has an interface on the back for a CD changer, and you might be able to adapt it to accept line-level signals from RCA plugs or the like. You'd have to ask a professional about that route though. I think you can also get aftermarket amps that have dual inputs, as well.

I had an FM modulated 10 disc changer in my truck up until a few months ago and it sounded great. of course it wasn't the same digital quality I could have gotten had I directly inputted the sound, but I am not an audiophile so I didnt care--and to me it wasnt worth the extra hassle and expense. I had enough problems putting the darn thing in to begin with. Check out the Pics section on my webpage to see what I mean....
