Post Rand Mcnally GPS, Dead?

Hey, I just got one of these GPS things for the laptop. It looks like a little mouse caseing and has a serial port and ps2 port connector on it. I have tried it with the software that came with it as well as copilot and I can't seem to get it to work.

Does anyone know about the serial stats on this device, can you connect to it with hyper terminal and check to see if it works?

Are there any LEDs on it? I got it off ebay so I thing there is a reason that it wound up on ebay as it looks beat up and used heavily. Hmm any ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

maybe I am lucky but I have bought and sold over 50 computer parts on ebay now and I haven't had any problems so far. THis is including 2 randmcnally gps receivers at about $75 or so... Maybe I am lucky.
Just make sure you buy stuff from a seller with a 20+ positive seller feedebacks and no negatives of course.

I would agree that there are good sellers on ebay, and buying from them is no problem. One of my friends pays for stuff using ebay. He waits till he finds a really good deal on something he wants, then buys 3 or 4 units. He keeps one and sells the rest for more then he paid. The extra money he gets goes to paying for the one he kept. Of course, you have to be sure you actually buy from someone like him...that is the hard part
