does anybody know of an amp that has either spdif or optical (toslink) connections? it would be ideal if it had 6 outputs (4 speakers & 2 subs). thanks,

As a car audiophile I can say that I know of no such product. I'm sure if there were I would have seen it at either IASCA or USAC this year.

Your best, although not cheapest, bet is to go with either a digital EQ, a cross-over, or a digital processor (usually includes an EQ).

I am currently using the Alpine PXA-H510 Doulby Digital Processor. It will do ProLogic, Doulby Digitial and Doulby Surround. It has TOS-LINK inputs and 6 channel outputs.

I'm pretty sure some head-units have Optical in. You could connect whatever to that, then to the amp.

I realize this post is way old but I thought I'd post this info so maybe it will help someone in the future doing a search.

The only amps I know of that have a toslink digital input are the Pioneer ODR amps that are part of the whole digital ODR setup. Very pricey.
