Seperate VGA and S-Video with Audio

The title is a bit vague but here is my situation.
I am thinking of purchasing a VIA Mini-ITX EPIA ME 6000 Fanless Motherboard. With a GPS mouse + software and I would also like to add a TV tuner/DVD Player to this.

I believe it is possible to have one thing displayed on the VGA Port and another thing on the S-Video Port. (Multi Monitor support, extend the desktop in windows? anyone done this?)

So would it be possible to have GPS/MP3 screen on the VGA Port and have the TV Tuner/DVD screen on the S-Video Port. So I can flick between each by changing the Input selector on the LCD. Or so another person could be watchign TV and another viewing the GPS.

The Only problem I have is the fact that the tv tuner/dvd audio will be merged with the gps/mp3 audio. Is there any way to seperate these 2 audio streams?

The Winfast DV2000 TV Tuner has 1 phone jack for audio out. Would it be possible to only have the TV Tuner card audio through that jack, and only have the GPS/MP3 audio through the USB Extigy?

Also the Mini-ITX is capable to producing 6 channel audio, it might be possible to have the GPS/MP3 through channel 1+2, and the TV Tuner/DVD through channel 3+4.

Anyone done anything like this?

Or would i be better off getting a seperate DVD Player and TV Tuner?

I imagine the processsing power required for this may be a bit over the top!

Is it possible to get the MP3s to mute when the GPS Software announces a command like "Turn right"?
And the Mini ITX Has a standard ATX Power connector right?

Thanks Exo yeah i had seen those and i was hoping for some good news

. Ah well, looks like I will have to get a seperate TV Tuner and DVD Player to do that then! Also does anyone know if a Pentium 166 Mhz be able to run GPS and MP3s simultaneously, and is there any Australian GPS Software out there with voice guidance and that will automatically dip the music volume when explaining the direction? eg. *Music*->*Turn Left*->*Music

Well there's a lot of questions there, most of which I cant answer. I can tell you a 166MHz Pentium will struggle to play Mp3 back and operate GPS at the same time. Ive got a 233mhz laptop and it struggles with mp3 alone at 44khz, 16bit stereo.

Cant think of any ozi GPS software to do what you need. Try www.oziexplorer.com but I dont think you'll have much luck.

You should be fine with that, I am using win2kpro and winamp as a player. I event boot to windows first. The CPU is a P200MMX no skipping at all.

I have a DXR3 mpeg decoder board in my Pentium III 1000MHz. It does the decoding for the DVD player and has a built in S-Video jack and 1/8" audio jack. When you set the card's software to use the S-Video jack, the picture does not appear on the monitor, and the sound is directed out the audio jack. Regular windows events and music playback would still go through the regular on board sound card.

Also, (heh) I have a Radeon All-In-Wonder 8500DV (in my system at home). It has a feature called theater mode. When you play dvds it displays the video full screen on the S-Video output and again, regular windows on the VGA port. However there is only one audio out... at least I assume there is, I hooked it all up per the instructions.

I know that winamp version 2.x had the ability to use multiple audio cards, not sure about 3 or 5. I once had a setup where one sound card was connected to my desktop speakers and system sounds where defaulted through it. And then I had a second sound card connected to my home theater system and Winamp was configured to use that one.

My old thinkpad P133 laptop with 40MB ram ran autoroute 2002/2003 and winamp for many years without any issues. I also ran girder to control both of them.

I still have the laptop if you want it?
