sound card works fine with mp3s, not with divx, why?
I'm setting up a Duron I have laying around for in car use.
Its a Duron 1ghz, 384 megs of ram, ECS k7S5A motherboard, Geforce mx440 video card and a built in sound card.
I have a fresh install of Winxp on it, and I ran all the updates, put DirectX9c on it, and installed the Klite codec pack and Winamp5.
When I play an Mp3, the sound works fine,
When I try to play a divx movie (which works fine on my desktop), the sound is really quiet and crackles and pops.
Can anyone help me out? Any suggestions?
