Video problems on Micro-atx boards? (no boot)
Help! I have been working with 2 new micro atx motherboards and when everythig is all together and assembled, there is no video, and the speaker keeps beeping, and there is no further booting. There is no on-board video, and right now it has an AGP Geforce2 card. My thoughts are that its probably a video problem, but the card works on my ATX motherboard, and I made sure that teh card is seated right! (made sure about 15 times so far, unseating and seating it over and over)
I've tried everything else, including removing everything except harddrive, keyboard, and videocard.
Does anyone know what is up with these mATX boards, or if I have to "prep" the AGP slot or...? This is the second time this happened with a mATX board, and both are from different manufacturers and bought from different stores.
Help!

What type of power supply are you running? Have you tried a standard supply?

I'm running one with an Award BIOS and one with a Pheonix BIOS.
They both have (I think) a long beep and then a pause, and long beep and pause. I've looked on the internet for the POST codes, but none of my searches came up with anything solid, but seeing how my video doesn't come up, I'm guessing its a video problem.
As for the power supply, All it says is a "small form factor Switching Power Supply"
ACtually, I looked into it, and its a 146 watt power supply, with the following:
12V 4A
5V 14A
3.3V 7A
-12V .3A
+5VSB 1A
Any help you guys have would be helpful
peace.

check the memory. No video is usually cause by the video card or memory. Since you checked the video card and that isn't the problem check the memory out move it to another slot or try a different chip.

Okay, will do... be back soon to edit this message hehe... (gotta switch the dimm from this computer to the micro atx)
Okay, I did a whole bunch of things at the same time.
1) moved around Dimms. I used a dimm from a "good" computer, and moved to a different slot.
2) unplugged and replugged the power and data cables on the harddrive.
3) unplugged and replugged the video card again.
Whatever it was, it worked! Dang I'm so POed that I was stumped for so long with all these stupid mATX motherboards. GRR.
Thanks to everyone for all your help... Maybe someone can close this forum hehe...
peace!

Long beeps are almost always video.
