Post Where are the great minds???

I guess this is not really appropriate place to ask this quesation but I will do it anyway as I think this is the most common section of this BB that people check out.

So where are those great minds that pioneered the mp3car, this BB and gave as ideas that are widely used by many people here.
Im talking about those people who been posting questions and answers here on this BB a year ago or so.
How come we never see them any more?
Are they just sick of this BB and this web site or they just look at the posting but dont want to answer the question that been asked so many times.
I personally feel that some how this place is changing... I just dont remember the last time that something big and intresting was discussed. Its all just same questions asked again and again ( thanx for that FAQ who ever created it ).
SO is this the real reason that we lossing our great minds???
I hope not!

Well, if its like I see it they all have gone to other projects. I've been on this board for almost 2 years and I too have noticed a decline over the past 6 months...

What can we do? encourage the newbies to read the archives before filling up the board with the same old questions and try new ideas on our own systems. Im my case, I frequent the board just for fun. Being @ college kinda eats alot of my time, but I still tinker a little bit. I've accually found some new things that I'm interested in building for my car, not quite MP3 related but computer driven non the less. we'll see how it turns out....

The lack of a good FAQ was a big problem before. abcd just posted some good linkage to a new FAQ that should be good for getting people started. IMO, what the mp3car group really needs is a big link directory that points to example setups and information documents. A FAQ that explains EVERYONE's unique methods of doing things would be impossible, but a link list that contains links to everyone's collective knowledge would answer alot of questions.

Of course, that probably won't stop newbies from asking "how do I get the audio in my head unit" and other done-to-death questions...

Fosgate and monger,

I've been around for a year now (mostly reading at first) and I can see the decline in the long standing members. But I guess it's just something that happens over time because people finish their projects. I just hope we don't lose you guys and other old timers that are still around any time soon.

Maybe people should start adding pictures of their projects and ideas, it would animate this forum a bit... Of course this will turn the forum a little slower... but its progress!
Good Night!

I've been gone workin on websites and updating the mp3 on my box. Most of the time when I visit it's the same questions that have been asked acoupla years ago. This is UBB 5.45c is does have a search function. Not awhole lotta new advances or deals like the eio lcds to be found anymore I guess. Moon never has posted awhole lot. I assume he's more of a behind the scenes kinda guy.
