USB to IDE converter question

My dvd rom is going to be a bit too far for a conventional ide cable. So I know I"m going to have to go with a USB to ide converter. My question is power...all the ones I've seen on ebay have a wall plug to as opposed to a cigarette lighter adapter. How do other people that have the USB to ide converter run their power?

Run power from the PC Power Supply to the drive. I used a slimline laptop drive. I tapped into the +5 (use +12 for 3.5" drive) on a molex connector in the trunk. I ran that line to the front dash. Then I just grounded it to the main ground point behind the dash with the rest of the compents in-dash.
