I think the VIA mini-ITX boards are pretty picky when it comes to riser cards. I could be wrong though. Search for other posts about risers.

It's not for a VIA board. It's for a Soyo micro ATX board. What I want to know is whether I can run two PCI cards from a single PCI slot in any old m/b.

It's my understanding that the board has to have support for it built into the BIOS. 10 bucks though, buy one and just see.

Depends on the riser, I have had most riser cards work in most motherboards. Only had a few risers give me problems.
