Post Hooking the mp3 to my car...

I am trying to connect my mp3 box directly into my amplifier. Right now I am just replacing the current line in wires with that coming from the sound card (after using mic-rca converter). What I dont know is how I should have my face to test the mp3. With the face off I get no sound if I choose the TUNE button on my face I get a nasty buzz. Does anyone know how I should have this all set?

Thanks..

Your probably getting the buzz becuase the computer is not grounded. Ground the case to the car and add a ground loop isolator (forget the radio shack one PIE makes a great one. You can get it at any car stereo shop) Good luck. Any questions email me.
