I am looking to use a Crusoe processor based PC/104+ module in a car computer design I am working on. It is made by Advanced Micro Peripherals (http://www.ampltd.com) and is the Tiny886ULP model. Anyone out there know anymore about this than the brochure PDF or standard google search turns up? If you don't know what it is, take a look at the website, it's pretty cool (and it runs linux).
Looks like a cool board but I dont think it has a sound card on board. I can't seem to get any more info from the company, I've sent them email no writes back. If you can get more info send it to me.
I never did find out much more info that what is on the web site. I ended up not purchasing one simply becuase is was too expensive for my blood. Advantech has a 3.5" half-biscuit crusoe based I have been thinking seriously about though: http://www.advantech.com/products/PCM-9370.asp
In the long run, I bet I eventually cave in and buy one. The geek factor and hackability are just too great.
Thanks for the info. I have actually been following your threads very closely. If I was looking for a Socket 370 SBC, the Wafer 7850 would be a great choice. I assumed the poster was interested in Crusoe based SBC/PC104 solutions. Oh, and by the way Lando, I was just going to use a USB audio device for sound (like the sony amp with intergrated USB audio).
