Problems with computer not starting......

I am useing an opus 150 and the computer wont start. It boots up and when it gets to the load screen for windows it turns off after about 20-30 seconds and then I have to turn of and then re apply the constant power to get it to boot again. It will boot up just fine in safe mode though, any ideas?

If it is booting is safe mode it is proabably a driver or software issue (more likely driver). Just to make sure its not the power supply I would take it inside, plug it into a regular ATX psu and power it up just to test it. If it is drivers then I would start by searching the net for each device you have installed to see if anyone else has had the same issues. What are your system specs?

well, it was working fine and it only started doing this after a few hours of use..... The only thing I have installed in the system is a usb sound card, and that works in safemode. its got an amd athlon processor, 256mb RAM and a 20 gig laptop HD

Sounds very strange. Maybe the Opus isn't supplying enough power to it but I doubt it. Have you got a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM or anything hooked up to it? Could also be that its overheating, very difficult to say.

You could always trying flashing the bios, dunno if it would make a difference, it sounds more like a driver or power issue.

Nope, no drives other than the hard drive.

run a voltmeter on your power lines and see what happens after a while, maybe your cars voltage drops off / increases for some or other reason

I think your problem is outside the pc itself

For some reason I got up this morning and it works fine. I am starting to think that this power supply holds power and I messed something up with the power supply to where I needed reset by being un hooked over night.
