Has anyone had problems with this model fogging up? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=32826&rd=1
I have developed some moisture on the inside of the lens. Now everything looks foggy. BTW I wish it had a larger viewing area. Its mounted underneath the center of the rear bumper. It only has 53 degrees viewing angle.

Looks like that is the same seller KAWAMALL, but only with sub $30 items. Weird.

Just bought one
I purchased the one on ebay for $139.00. It's the one with CCD sensor and ir.
The output quality is far superior than cmos based cameras. Also, I could not believe how powerful the IR LEDS are. The complaint from the original viewer on the spots display in the output , is dust related. The dust particles will display a faint white ring around the particle. The reason is the powerful IR LEDS.
Another note, the interference is caused by using very cheap RCA cable for the video input. Cheap cables do not make a great connection. When I replaced the cheap cable with one that had a better connector and better shielding, the picture was crystal clear.
I'm happy with my purchase. The quality of this high price camera shows.
Dwaine.

Try a different RCA cable

My camera is clear. It was not when I used a cheap RCA. Change it... You will see the difference.

Have you guys seen the camera's at Fry's? They have several in their security section. Most all of them run on 12 volts and the prices are very good($40-$80).

Just thought I'd post this for posterity. I measured the field of view of the Savv VAC-5000 using two quarters and a tape measure.
It's ~139 degrees horizontally.
Just wish the pic quality was better. Sometimes, it's crystal clear, others, I get a bit of black snow. Think somethings up with the auto-iris.

Just bought this one on ebay - 120 deg field of view, night cam w/IR, meant to be installed in keyhole (looks very similar to pics above). $50. Will post review when I get it. My thinking on this is that it's backup camera, not going to be used to photograph people or anything that needs to be high resolution - I just want to see if I'm about to back over anything.

Look forward to hearing about it. Only problem for me with cameras like this are they all are reversed. I have a rear, one for the interior, but I want a forward looking camera too.

The one that I had a link to is sort of meant to be installed in your trunk's (boot's) keyhole, which is what I'm going to do - no bumper cutting involved.
Here's a pic of what it will look like on my car (borrowed "1HOTBMW"'s picture from e46fanatics.com):

Been playing with Video for Linux, so I grabbed a cap to give an idea of the view.
I held it against my backdoor's frame to avoid interlacing, that's what's on the left of the pic. The first part of the fence is about 4ft away, the second between 20-25ft. Probably about 30ft between the two side walls.
I still think the autoiris is wonky. Sometimes pics are 10 times clearer than others.
