Sony expands its car GPS, Tokyo's streets in 3D

This looks so sweet for navigation, the 3D is just awsome.

OK, but seeing streets in that sort of 3D view makes it look too much like you're driving.
Frankly, for good navigation, I need to see more of an overhead with a couple of streets in addition to my route, so I can plan for it by making sure I'm in the right lane and whatnot.

It looks pretty, though.

It's been talked about before. Definitely pretty, but it would take years to map NYC.

Very pretty...

They don't really "map" the buildings, they just base it on sizes. All the buildings look the same.
