laptop cd to laptop hdd adapeter

I need an adapter that will plug into the tiny laptop cd plugs but then convert to 2.5" ide, all the ones I find go to 3.5" ide. I want to keep it nice and small, anyone seen one of these.

That cd rom connector but adapting to a 2.5" ide instead of 3.5" ide. I did search, all I have found is to 3.5" IDE.

I'm not sure if you want to connect a laptop cd drive to a full sized IDE or a cable for a 2.5-2.5. Either way, take a look at the links below:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...44974&CatId=81

or

http://www.cablesonline.net/2544pinidela.html

Hope these help.

I need an adapter like the first pic in the thread with the tiny about 1" wide cd-rom drive connector but to a 2.5" ide instead of a 3.5" ide cable. I have 2.5" to 3.5" adapters but they go the wrong way and I'd like to find what I need in one piece.
Remember when early laptop cd-rom drives used the same 2.5" ide as laptop hdd's and now the new laptop cd-rom drives are the real tiny connector? I need to put a new tiny connector drive in a laptop that used the older 2.5" ide so I don't have space to use the mini cd connector to 3.5" ide then adapt down to the 2.5" ide.

In other words, what I posted a link too. The mounting hardware is optional and can be discarded if not needed. I don't know of any slim CD to laptop IDE (2.5") adapter board by itself.
