or take the existing bracket... bend it in the appropriate spot... cut it to length... and then cut a screw slot in it... and you have a homemade low-profile bracket. you could do it in just a couple of minutes easily. and if you mess up, well then go with twist ties
or if you're really that concerned about it, just email newegg. they've always given me nothing but the best customer service (including RMA'ing a hard drive even though it was clearly stated as "manufacturer RMA only" in the item description) so I'm sure they'd be willing to help you out, or at least refund your money or something... especially since the small bracket is pictured in both of the last 2 item pictures...
