Comparison between 600mhz and 1ghz fanless motherboards? Anyone with experience?

Im used to getting the motherboards a little cheaper, but there seems to be a shortage of ones that my cheap ars will buy. Has anyone used the 600 mhz fanless processor , the 800Mhz motherboard, and the 1ghz M series board? If so, how was the startup and shutdown and working speed? I don't run anything buy frodo and my navigation software. My main concern is startup that I have got down to 17 seconds with the MII12000 processor, and 20 with the M10000 I had a long time ago (maybe it was 30). I had learned enough to modify windows by the time I got the 1.2Ghz processor motherboard.
any help would be appreciated.
later,
Kenny

I think it's pretty obvious that the 1Ghz board is going to run everything faster than the 800mhz or the 600mhz boards.
How much faster, I don't know. I wouldn't expect the 1Ghz to be 20% faster than the 800mhz board & 40% faster than the 600mhz one, though.
But it would make for an interesting comparison. You've got my curiosity piqued now.

i've got the 800 and trust me you dont wanna go there. I originally planned to have only mp3 n gps but in a years time the project has grown way past the limits of the 800mhz. Like ive said in previous posts, the EPIA 800 MIGHT run at 400mhz when its all said n done. I'm on a 800mhz intel ATM with less ram and this thing is superior by far (so much so that this is goin in the car soon! )

I have the Epia 6000E (600 MHz fanless) now and had the M9000. Both could run WinXP Pro fast enough and I could run MP3, GPS, OBD data logger, etc with Frodoplayer. They seemed to be equally responsive. I don't use them for playing videos, so don't know how they do there.

You don't have to worry at all about overheating the fanless. The M9000 would overheat occasionally.
