The via website where you downloaded the BIOS says you need to have the VGA driver also installed, not sure if that is the issue, but best of luck.

One thing that I've learned over the years is to NEVER do a BIOS upgrade to hardware on anything that I'm not willing to throw in the trash. Seems to work perhaps 1 out of 3 times. 2 out of three times something goes wrong and I'm left with nothing but junk. Hope this isn't the case here.

That's just bad technique 99% of the time. I've never had a flash go bad.

What bios version is it? I know that 1.6 created memory incompatibilities for many with rev. b boards. Try resetting the CMOS, letting the board sit for about a half an hour then try again. As soon as the video pops up go into BIOS and reset the memory setting to manual speed, drop it to 100MHZ and 2.5T. Then save and restart. Make sure you do it quick though because mine would drop video pretty quickly and would not come back until I reset CMOS and let the board sit again.
