AUX input adapter for UK Volvo

Hey all,

I'm in desperate need of an adapter which will give me an input into my factory fitted Volvo headunit (it has the cd changer input).

The only device out there which im aware about is a www.blitzsafe.com adapter.

Problem is I cant seem to get through to them to order one from themselves in the US. I'm from the UK and there arn't any UK dealers Anyone know of any good dealers which sell Blitzsafe items and will shop to England. Just wondering what the duty/vat would be to receive this package from the US as well?

Thanks for any help.

There is also USA SPEC that does aux input (or iPod / AUX combo, depending on your radio/car model) http://www.usaspec.com/

I personally have a 2004 S-80 with a HU801 radio, and am using a PA-11 as an aux-in with my carputer. The soud is perfect!

Which HU do you have ? For old SC-xx models I have MBus adapter which works with any PC just fine.

I have a SC-901 headunit (with the 3disk multichanger indash). I think the blitzsafe is the only option I have but im open to suggestions!

As I mentioned Car2PC-MBus works fine with that headunit. You'll get full control from/to PC and audio input as well:

This looks like an interesting and useful product but are you sure it will work the Volvo headunits. As the cd changer input will not turn on unless the cdchanger is connected, thus I was needing the Blitzsafe adapter which some how tricks the headunit into thinking there is a cd changer installed and enables the cd changer input.

Yes it will work. The only problem is that standard MBus harness is little bigger than the one used in Volvo so you'll need either VOLALP cable or manually build one.

For your HU, here is the model from USA SPEC:

http://www.usaspec.com/ipodhon.htm

I know it says Honda, but read the whole page. You will also need a cable adapter they sell.
