Epia Running WinDVD7 Blue dump---> vtdisp Stop:0x000000EA

Has anyone had similar issues? Im running an Epia M10000 with WinDVD 7. Ive done some research and found that it can be either a memory leak and or "vtdisp" is for certain a video driver/hardware issue... I get this dump intermittanly during movie play, or when i stress windvd by maximizing to full screen during movie play.

Could you guys giving me your motherboard type and dvd decoder software type/version being used... Im worried it might be the board...
Id appreciate it greatly...

Yeah, I've had weird problems due to bad RAM.

As for the DVD issue, I am running an M10000 with a Panasonic slim slot load DVD-RAM through a USB hub, XP Pro, and WinDVD 7. No problems as of yet (only been up for 3-4 days, though, and watched maybe 15 min of DVD total).

i've got Epia SP13000 win dvd 7 no probs, got full version legit copy, cheap enough to buy saves problems.

Use POWERDVD. Much better software. I've always had issues with WinDVD. Ever since V1.00

Using VGA out to lilliput, and have the same exact setup at ZR5. I think its gotta be my video drivers if not then for sure this motherboard is shot... Ive been through 10 reformats of different version windows. With without service packs etc... Changed memory, 2 different type hard drives maxtor and western digital (both almost new). Disabled audio complete tried to run it, same scenario, has to be something with onboard video or drivers. I will next try a pci vga card if i have any laying around...This is just bull****... I just got this board back from VIA RMA. My last board never powered up, due to long story. But this one is brand spanking new and have never had such wierd *** issues with any pc before like this...

Ok Well after busting my *** at this for almost a week now... I found that VIA no longer supports there sister site for EPIA boards http://www.viaembedded.com or atleast no longer offer support on m10000 drivers... The latest available for all drivers were no greater than 2003. I didnt a bit of research and found that the chipsets (makes sence) are identical to that of a standard all in one via board.

I downloaded a current 2005 version of the unichrome agp graphics driver from www.via.com and everything is ******* dandy now. Im quite ****ed that this was all i was fighting the entire time and no one out there had a similar issue? they need to can that epia site and just keep the links local to via.com, and stop throwing its epia board owners to there piece of **** out dated site....

I think this should help out many new board owners. I highly suggest updating your audio drivers from via.com as well...

Interestingly enough, I just had this problem. I couldn't find the install disc during intial setup, so I downloaded those drivers first. During DVD playback it got choppy, so I found the disc and installed the original drivers. After many system lockups, I actually got it to display this error, and this is the only post referring to vtdisp. I found out in reverse, but the downloaded drivers didn't seem to support the hardware enabled DVD playback. I guess I'll try it again...

RE-installed several drivers until I got the right combination.

Must install the 4-in-1 Hyperion Driver AND the actual video driver. Works now with PowerDVD's "hardware enabled" setting

Your lucky, I had the same MoBo and DVD was so choppy that I got rid of the MoBo.... did you install a new graphics card or are you using the onboard card. I had issues with both solutions.
