CPu and MOBO combinations

Ok hes what I want to do.
I have a toshiba laptop with a socket 478 celeron M @ 1.4ghz I would like to swap up tp a pentium m @1.8ghz (for the power savings mainly, so I can use speed step and such)

Then I would have a spare celeron M laying around I would like to put that into my old P4 dell computer. For the power savings and so it can work. THe dell would be used as the carputer. A strait P4 chip guzzles too much power so I was hoping that a Pentium M would just work.

Is there any reason I cannot swap a P4 for a PM? THe mobo supports 400 and 533 mhz bus speeds and the proc should be some 400 mhz. Anything else I should be aware of?

They're not compatible. You need a motherboard with a chipset that's specific to the PM.
