Delco aux in......

Been reading several threads on this mod and not for sure exactly what I am reading. I want to add a mp3 player to a stock delco deck.

2002 silverado with cd player, no cassette.

It does have the 9 pin plug on back

Tell me if I got this correct:
I can use a cd player that belong in the cubby below the a/c controls and splice into those wires with a set of female rca jacks and in order to use the rca jacks I must leave a cd in the player.

Any useful knowledge would be helpful!

Thanks

i think i have the input for this. it works with the factory radio and you can input 2 different audio sources and you get a little switch with it. i dont think i am EVER going back to the stock radio so i dont need it anymore. i paid 100 for it. let u have it for 50 shipped.
