Thumbs up Wow! A revelation in clean sound

So I had done pretty much everything that could be done to remove a slightly (very minimal, but audible) whine from my car system. I grounded, isolated, etc. etc.

Then i got an ad for a device called the iMic USB audio adapter.

This little thing takes audio out through USB and renders it out to a mini plug. WOW!!

The whine went away and I swear it sounds cleaner!!

I'm so blown away. I have louder levels and cleaner sound. I don't work for them, but this is amazing.

Check them out!!

Thats a good idea, I never thought of that.
I was just going to go with the CL Sound Blaster Extigy in the setup I'm working on. I suppose another cool way to get the sound from the PC would be to buy the xitel dg device, that goes from usb to optical/digital mini. Then hook that up to some reciever with optical in (i know the new pioneer p9 has it...) That would cost a lot, but i dont think the sound quality could be get much better than that.....

$35, pretty inexpensive if it works that well. The only problem is limited capability to work with Win98 and no support for Win95. But there is 2000 and XP support.

Caliboy,
Just load win98 and use 98lite to strip it down. You'll get relatively close to win95 performance. It's still slower than pure 95 but faster than 98.
