Got carputer installed and is not working properly
I installed my carputer and my relay switch's that I made are not working. I have three different ones.This is the list:
Relay 1: Triggers the LCD to turn on anytime that my laptop is turned on
Relay 2: Triggers the power switch to turn on the power inverter anytime that my laptop is turned on
Relay 3: Pulse's on my laptop anytime that my car is turned on
So I have everything hooked up and Relay 1 & 2 are not getting triggered on. I know that I have everything hooked up right. I had everything working perfect in the house so it should work out in the car. The other thing is that more of all the voltage is a -12v. Is this fine that everything is running at a -12v? Everything is coming straight from the battery. Also the other thing that is kind of wierd is that if I have the p/s2 cord plugged in to try and trigger on the two relay's it shuts down my laptop and I have to take the laptop out and pull the battery put it back in and then it will work. If anybody has any ides on what I can do let me know. The other thing is that the laptop is not grounded to the car. Is this a problem? I am going to mess with that today. Please leave me some suggestions and I will try them. Thanks!
