Talking Got my Navman RandMcnally USB GPS NMEA 2.0 compliant receiver.

Playing with it on my laptop now.

Where can I get different software to test. I'm currently using the one it came with. - Deluxe Streetfinder.

My MS Streets 2001 doesn't see the receiver. - that software came with my Dell Inspiron 8100 notebook.

Anyone else try this easy to use USB receiver?

I believe that the ms streets, will officially only accept serial gps systems.

I do however have a friend who managed to get it working with a usb to serial converter (not 100% stable but it works 99.99% of the time).

However i believe that the price for the converter is quite high, and you may find it easier to buy a serial version, if you really wish to use ms streets.

I guess serial is better in that sense.

Well anyone know if that talking GPS map software will work with this USB?
