I've had no problems with my EN thus far (knock on wood). Had it in the car for a few weeks now.

To add to this thread, I received mine about 6 weeks ago, booted it once, then never again. I'm still waiting for a replacement to come from VIA in Germany.

This is unnerving.
Do you know what caused it to die on you?

With the freedom skin, it was still a tad slow. It wasn't unbearably slow, but noticably lagging compared to the non flash skins. So I added a cheap video card anyways (I had the room to do so).

A quick comparison between the Via EN15000 and the Jetway J7F2: - the EN offers S/PDIF both In and Out on headers, which is unusual for mini-itx boards (no I/O brackets supplied though... doh!)
- EN has 4 x USB rear panel ports, Jetway has 2
- EN also has headers for YPbBr video, SIR infra-red and I2C/SMBus
- Jetway has CD-In
- Jetway offers a range of daughterboard I/O expansion, but Via only offers DVI or LVDS daughterboards
- Speedfan works with the EN, which may compare to the Jetway MyGuard hardware control software
And the price? LinITX.com now have the Via DVI daughterboards in stock, so an EN15000 with DVI would cost £213, while the Jetway with DVI daughterboard would be £136. The Via costs over 50% more, so unless the Jetway quality is shabby or you need the specific I/O options on the EN, it seems to be a no-brainer...

CN Vs. EN
Can anyone tell me the difference? I've looked all over the place but haven't found any information on the difference between these 2 boards... I know the marketing stuff, but for $60 difference is it worth getting the EN?

I own the jetway J7F2WE with 512MB 533MHz of Ram and i have no problem with it, the board is pretty fast and i can say very stable and cheaper than VIA EN15000.
So if you want a C7 board I recommend you Jetway.
Peace.

Do you have the 12watt or 25watt version? I was wondering what CPU Temps are you getting. I have the 25watt and it idles at ~40. I OC'ed to FSB 105 (1.575 GHZ)and it jumped to ~43. I can get it stable FSB110 (1.650Ghz). I'm not going to OC it in my car, just wanted to see the potential of it.
Probably a bit cheaper to by a 1.0 or 1.2 and overclock it to a 1.5 with a higehr FSB

I own the 25watt version and i get in temps ~42°C(inside the case) and about the overclocking i don't know if that's recomendable for this kind of board.
Cheers.

Sorry for very overdue reply. You know, I think it may not have been faulty at all, but would only boot with a PS/2 keyboard attached. Oops.
Anyway fairly happy with the replacement which came with the latest BIOS too. There seem to be a few teething problems with suspend and recovery from hibernate, but the board is so fast compared to my old SP13000 that I am shutting down and restarting and by about 50-80 seconds Centrafuse is running and music is playing.
