I figured I would post here because of all the experience
I have a Radeon X600 video card which has a 7-pin s-video connector. Now from what I have been reading the pinout of the outer 4 pins is the same as a typical 4-pin s-video connector. The additional pins are for the composite signal so I should be able to connect a standard 4-pin s-video cable in there...
So I went out and bought a very expensive 6' s-video cable with 4-pins. I plugged it into the card and into the back of the TV. I went into the driver setup and set it to cloan the monitor to the tv. Problem I am having is that the TV is not recognizing that there is a signal there.
Now I'm wondering was it right to plug that s-video cable in the back of the card or is my tv maybe the problem.
I can't find much on this doing searches and since it is a DELL system I found them to be VERY useless after an hour on the phone because juggled from person to person.
Anyone with experience using this 7-pin connector. Can I just plug a standard s-video cable into it?
Thanks,
Chuck
