Shuttle sv24 or fv24

I have a shuttle sv24 and i was woundering if i could put an

Intel P3 FC-PGA2 Tualatin 1.266ghz 512k (not 256k) cache processor
I have a celeron and plll 800mhz and they run fine, my board is a socket 370 and the cpu is the same.

It is a mini itx sort of, just a little bigger and i wanted to know if my board could handle this cpu, this would be one hell of a carputer if i could get it to work, i havent bought the cpu yet waiting to see if it would work.

Shuttle is its own formfactor, for what its worth.
The manual can be found here: http://ftp.shuttle.com/Manuals/en/sv24/fv24en.zip

I don't think you'll bave any problems with that CPU, although I suggest updating the BIOS for the FV24 to the latest version. It will increase the likelihood of your proposed mobo/CPU combination working.

Shuttles rock.

[EDIT]
****. A minute late.
Well, maybe it won't work.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

Actually, the Tualatian (what ever it is) WILL NOT WORK in the shuttle board.

Isn't that what I said... well anyway. Don't let a good topic go to waste. Any other good info for these boards. Hmm... adding a mic you'd have to get the connection from inside the pc since theres only a line in and line out on the i/o panel.

The board with a p3 800 is faster than an Epia 800 w/ the same core (I have both).

Is there a way of adding a boot logo to a board that doesn't come w/ one? My bios is a bit slow and I'd rather see a custom logo or something. Is it possible?

the FV25 will handle that CPU... it was a little later in the production run.

Well guys I had a celeron in it 800mhz and it sucked choppy playback for videos and unresponsive alot, changed it to Plll 800mhz and it was night to day, play back for movies is awsome, road runner runs fine and no freezing, also boot time has decreased.

I still want to purchase a 1.26 or 1.13 tual. but i read the manual
