OMG Svideo to comp WTF

I have the Biostar M7NCG-400 with an integrated nvidia geforce 4 it had one head vga the other a jumper on the board that you can hook up to an svideo cable (sold sepratley)

i can't get svideo down to a comp signal for the life of me i have a svideo to comp adapter from startech.com and i actually purchased 2 neithter work!
i get a fuzzy greyish white display and nothing elsei can play with the contrast etc and can make a few things out but it just wont work

now you may ask why does he want to turn svideo into comp well the psone screen im using only takes comp and from what ive heard the vga mod doesnt work on them for nvidia card but composite out should work the output on the motherboard list 4 pins 2 grounds and and 2 are y and c (see attachment)

what can i do here im going nuts and have tried just about everything cable wise and software wise now its time to make my own cable (i guess???)

can i modify the psone to accept svideo? arrrrrrrrggghh

I would try to test it on a screen that accepts svideo to confirm the motherboard is putting out... then look past that... at this point you can't know if it'sd the conversion or the output...

don't tell me this is for your main indash screen??

Sounds like the chrominance pin of the svideo jack on your mobo or your screen is messed up. Could be loose and therefore causing the fuzzyness because it is too close/touching the other signals.
Can you replace the jack on the mobo or the screen?
Can you test the mobo on a diffrent screen? If it works, then its the screens jack. At least test the PSOne screen inside on a real tv to see if it works...
