Thanks.
The Endura TP945GM looks interesting since I am seriously looking at the Aopen i945GTt. It looks like they have the same chip set. It would be nice to find an alternate to consider since I think the Aopen board is a little pricey. One concern I would have from the top is does this Endura board support core 2 duo merom. It uses the same socket but different voltage usually requires new bios.

Itox intel core duo G5C100-N-G

I saw this board on www.epiacenter.com from www.itox.com.
They have also anounced two core 2 duo conroe Atx and micro ATX boards.
Sample quantities are available now.

The G5C100-N-G has what seems to becoming a standard config - intel core 2 duo merom with i945G/ICH7m chipset. Two ethernet ports seem nice, but I am not sure what I will use the second for. I hope I didn't make any transposition errors or didn't forget to include key info, and I will double check with Itox to insure Core 2 Duo (Merom) support.
I like what I see so far and definitely am going to consider it in my CarPC/Home entertainment sys

A G5C100-N-G FEATURE SUMMARY follows:
Mini-ITX form factor 6.7” x 6.7”, 170mm x 170mm, 6-layer PCB!
Intel® Core™ Duo/Solo, Celeron® M processors
Intel® 945GM Express chip set
667/533MHz Front-Side Bus
Two 200 pin SODIMM sockets Up to 4GB DDR2-667 memory
Intel® Graphics
1 PCI slot for PCI expansion card or customized riser
card for 1, 2 or 3 PCI slots expansion
1 Compact Flash socket
Realtek ALC655 for 5.1 Audio
S/PDIF digital audio output
Dual Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1G
using two Marvell 88E8053 PCI Express Gigabit controllers
Eight USB 2.0 ports - 4 rear panel
Four RS-232 serial ports – 3 DB9 rear panel

Hmm, has anyone been able to find that Kontron board, the 986LCD, available anywhere on-line (or in person) I've emailed their US sales office, but haven't heard back from them, and I haven't found it anywhere else, or available for purchase anywhere.

Itox 5C100-N-G

A Rep named Leo from Itox informed me via email that the board will NOT support core 2 Duo, which I find a little hard to believe. That and the fact that the board is listed at $450 on their website takes the board out of consideration for me. Too bad, looked like a nice board.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but according to what I could dig up on the intel website, the 945GT chipset (as on the AOpen i945GTt-VFA) is not compatible with the Core 2 Duo (Memrom) Processors.

The 945GM chipset (as on the Commell LV-677) fully supports the Memrom Processors.

Additionally, (FWIW) the GT is listed as a Desktop/Performance chipset, and the GM is listed as a Laptop/Embedded product.

My $0.02

I have used my Aopen i945gtt with a T5600 Merom and its fully compatible, I would not expect the gt chipset to be listed under laptop/embedded since it is a desktop mobo

Duly Noted. I was just going from intel's chipset comparison guides, trying to decide on which board to buy. Thought I'd toss it out there.

Thanks for the input.
