I'm looking to get the Albatron board. It is available on NewEgg, but is limited. So I'm waiting for it to become available so I can snatch one.

http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/i...asp?pro_id=215

I've had enough SATA issues with the 915GM chipset, so I'm going for a Mobile Turion 64 setup with the nVidia 6150 chipset. I know for sure the SATA stuff will work as intended.

The Albatron KI51PV-754 mini-ITX board arrived yesterday. It supports Mobile Turion 64 (25W) as well as Sempron and Athlon 64. My CF SATA adapters are working great!

The board had a few quirks during driver installation, but it is probably due to me being too lazy to grab the latest drivers.

Hopefully BIOS updates will give it Power Now! and SmartFan support.

Well, as a start MII12000 does not support WVGA like 800x480 and is not supported by PowerStrip either. I think all boards with S3 is down the drain.

To me it is enough to find one mobo that does give 800x480. If you do know of one, please tell me.

Oops. I missed a few pages. One the _first_ page someone wanted to add info about which mobo's that did 800x480. So I thought I'd contribute my 5 cent.

Seems to be what people is most interested in, and the info that is the hardest to get.

Case for Albatron Turion Mini_ITX board?

I am trying to find a case for the Albatron board before I buy it. I am looking for some thing approaching the size of a AOpen MP915B(S) (or close enough.

Any one of you guys seen a case you think would fit the bill? All the cases I've seen so far seem tailored for fan-less systems...

DIGItonium, what did you put it in? Pleeeaaasse...

On page 2 it mentions the different series' of Jetway models. Don't forget the G series, which is a 9 watt board.

How about a sticky on complete systems. I know from experience the next Mobile Information Center (carpc) i install will entail purchasing a complete system rather than building it from scratch. Not much of a price difference and you get it all out of the box.

One system i have my eye on is the XPC X100. you can find it at:

Shuttle.com

Then there's Mini Mac but with the majority of applications running on XP, it will be a challenge. Nevertheless, it's a complete system.

And of course various others i can't think of. As i said earlier, with complete systems in place, the population of Mobile enthusiast will grow tremendously as they will feel more adequate and confident. I for one was sweating bullets when i made that first cut to my brand new car - having no idea what was i getting into. Looking back now, i'm so glad i did. I would just have done it differently.

All hail, the NY Giants

You ever heard of BOOTCAMP, it runs XP better than any XP designed system; I have 2 iMacs running XP here at my office and have no issues. There are a lot of posts in the Mac area.
