KX Project Drivers?

I saw these mentioned in another thread, here and went looking for more information on them.

I found the website, located here and a review on Techspot, located here

Has anyone used these, and if so, what are your opinions on them? My setup uses an Audigy 2 NX USB card, so these drivers are a no-go, according to their FAQ, but if they are that much better, I might bite the bullet and switch to a PCI card.

Thanks for any info
Dave

Well, among other things, the drivers for the Audigy 2 NX don't allow true 4.1 sound. They have 5.1 and 4.0, but not no 4.1

Really, though I am just looking for an alternative

*First, scuse my english, not enought time to correct it right now...

I im using them at home right now to test how i could use them in the car in the future (my car PC will be mostly for sound purpose...).

What i can say is that you have alot more control on how the sound is processed before being play. What i really like, is that you can have more setting that you can find on a very very expensive Car Radio. I mean, lowpass, highpass, equalizer, time correction, gain, effect, wave generator etc etc etc.... You can had some or modify the existing if you want. You can set everything on each channel, even on what ouput you want it...

**Dont be scare by the DSP, it is way easier than what it look like...

no audigy has true 4.1 even though the option ios there for it. You just have to set it to 4.0 and split off the rear output for the sub. Thats what i did and its fine.,
