Mini-ITX motherboard and I-Ram?

Will it work with any mini-itx motherboards?

So long as they support SATA then yes. I don't think they are a good idea in a car mind you with 16 hours max battery time and 6 hours to charge. Of course you probably overcome that but personally I don't see enough of a gain to go to the hassle.
Just out of interest what were you looking to put on the drive?

^ Not really necessary hardware. I am testing a super slim 264MB XP installation on a crappy 4GB hard drive. Max transfer rate is 20MB/s and decays from there. I managed to get XP to boot up so fast the status bar doesn't even get to scroll on the logo screen.

Now, my real setup will be through the use of a 2GB Sandisk Extreme IV along with an Addonics SATA CF adapter. Data transfer is up to 40MB/s RW, so it is probably the fastest CF card out there and the only one with an UltraDMA controller. I cannot verify if this card will work, but I'll try it out in the final stages of design.
