CPU Fan Control

arrhhh - I have a LV-677 board with the M2-ATX start up problem. I have Contacted I tuner and have a modded supply on the way.

Aside from that I cannot find any information on getting the CPU fan to slow down.

It runs at full speed the whole time.

Tried speed fan and it was not compatible.

Have made all the settings as suggested in the Bios and have checked it is the latest version. No luck.

Has anyone had any luck in getting the fan to slow down as the MB reports back that the CPU is sitting at around 20C.

Cheers

Jamie

Hmm in my past experience this has almost always been a BIOS issue, but if it is running the most recent version I would contact the board mfrg and see if they have any info on their web site about it.

If you want to do it permanently you could always put a resistor in series with the fan.

I have found the issue and will be the same for all LV-677 owners.

The board uses PWM style fan control ie 4 wire. Most 775 based boards have the 4 wire fan control now - However the 40mm fans are still comming.

Sunon has a 40mm PWM 4 wire fan however have not been able to source anywhere to purchase just one.

any ideas anyone?
