you lucky lucky bastard. That looks great!
I'm getting my screen Friday! And possibly a car then too!
I'm gonna use a snake light cable or something similar to mount it on, so that it can be demounted and put away, ir I park in an underground garage, in a shady neighberhood, etc. But with your setup, its so unabtrusive, that it doesn't matter.

Don't you just love how garages tend to have a sign that says "don't leave anything valuable in your car, we won't be held liable" It basically leaves it up so the valet can just jack your stuff while you are out minding your own business.

That may be the most awesome thing I've seen since tation mounted that 14" in his dash.
Excellent work my friend. I can only hope mine will look so... so... sexy.

Very impressive, Arby! It came out looking better than I thought hand laid fiberglass would look. I hope you're prepared for the inevitable coke spill, though. (Ack!)
I must say, Texans have the best players.

Arby with the way this setup looks, do you simply have your touchscreen glass laying on top of your LCD panel, and then using the fiberglassing piece you made to hold it onto it, or is there some way you attached your touchscreen glass to your LCD panel? I think I remember you saying before the touchscreen glass has no screw holes or anything like that so I'm wondering how you keep the touchscreen glass from shifting around in small amounts while you're driving.

I have some long screws at the top and bottom to keep it from sliding around.

arby....
is there enough room in there to put some double stick foam tape? both of the screens that i have with touchscreens are assembled with the 2-sided tape and they hold quite well...
but, if it works how you have it, then by all means keep it that way. it would suck to take it apart just to change something that isnt broken...

Good work Arby. Can we call you the "LCD God" now, instead of Guru?
