Underclock Athlon64-3000+ with RM Clock & nTune?

i have a Athlon64-3000+ CPU and a mATX board lying around, want to use it as CarPC but I am worry about power consumption. Will a Opus 150W enough to power this board + LCD?

The CPU has a frequency of 9 x 200Mhz and Vcore of 1.4V, i can only lower the multiplier to 5x in BIOS. With nTune, i can lower the FSB further to 100Mhz, and RM Clock can help to lower the voltage to about 1.1V stable (at 5 x 200Mhz).

Anyone have better software or suggestion to keep the power consumption as low as possible? any accurate way to measure the power consumption? i am going to use the CarPC for internet, music/movie and navigation software only (not for games)

thanks

my Athlon 64 -3000+ is the 939 pins version and it take 67W! that's why i am a bit worry if a 150W PSU is enough to boot up the PC. Once the system successfully entered windows, i will be able to underclock and undervolt it to 1Ghz @ 1.1V

You can try lowering the FSB. That's how I underclocked my Barton 2500+. From 400 to 266 is about at 40% reduction in speed and power consumption. My computer won't POST without the underclock.
