randomly resets

relevant specs: mII10k, opus120w

i know im posting this topic right above another random reset thread, but it is different.

everything boots up fine, everything works fine, and after about 20 minutes the carpc will just shut itself down, and power up again after about 30 seconds of just nothing. after it powers back up again it only takes about 5 or 10 minutes before it goes through the same process, evermore decreasing the amount of time it stays on with each reboot.

now this leads me to believe that it almost has to be a heat issue. i dont think this is possible though. the case is not even warm to the touch, and it is most definitely cooler in my car right now than it was in the balmy summer.

so my other thought is that the turn on lead for my PS is not stable. weird that it should happen now, after working perfectly for ~5 months.

i also read while doing some searching that bad ram can cause reboots, but i really do think this is more of a PS issue.

im going to meter the turn on lead to see if it drops down a lot. it is winter and i do have more electrical accessories running, but i would have thought i would have seen signs of this a couple months ago.

any thoughts?

the PS could be overheating, thermal protection could shut it down.
