Non powered USB hub

hi all,

The Epia MII 12000 motherboard from VIA comes with only 2 onboard USB ports and two more through a USB header. I am gonna have the lilliput taking one for the touchscreen capabilities, one for the bluetooth adapter for my phone and OBD2 scanner, and one for the GPS - leaving only ONE more port open. I was wondering - if I plug a non powered hub into it and plug the touchscreen control and bluetooth adapter into it - how well would that fair? Am I risking overloading the motherboards' USB outputs?

The computer will be powered by a Mini-ATX M2-ATX PSU (160 watts).

It PROBABLY won't, but there is no way to tell with out knowing more about the BT dongle.

You can try it and see what happens.

It should be fine, but I suggest the GPS and touchscreen plug directly into the USB ports on the motherboard, and then the bluetooth and OBDII through the hub. THe touchscreen and gps are sometimes fidgity when run through hubs. For no apparent reason, they just are.
