what I need is a motorized touch screen GPS

Hi,

I'm new to this field in general, and to this forum in specific.

I've checked the store and found lots of things, car computers, touch screens, gps receivers, but what I need is a combination of gps receiver and a motorized touch screen. The finished product that I need, a touch controlled GPS, that pops up when turned on and pops back in when turned off.

The questions are:

How do I combine between the two.
Can I conceal the GPS receiver inside the dash behind the screen. Will it interupt or not work
What are the recommended software
How Can I update the GPS reciever, to add maps, and what types?

You will not find a touch screen that has GPS built in.

Are you interested in a CarPC or are you just wanting GPS only?

I'm interested in GPS only. Today yoy have touch screen GPS, like the TomTom or Mio, but they do not coneacl themselves in the dash. And that's the problem.

I am not aware of anything like this as it seems pointless to spend all that time and money developing a unit just for GPS. Most all of those units will double as a head unit as well.
