If only it were that simple... the climate control, disc changer, and stereo are all one big unit - so to take one out is to take them all out. Thats why just about everyone goes to the bottom cubby. What 98EXL did is rediculously awesome, but beyond a lot of peoples experience level and patience. The key to his mod was replacing his original HU with the dumbed down version, without the disc changer and automated CC.

My unit, and from what I understand most of them, does NOT have an auxilary input, it has auxilary capabilities. You have to add something like this:
