Double Din LCD HeadUnit

This is not a group buy, I will buy the units from the manufacture and any member who would like one I will ship to them after the units arrive. The unit is very similar to the DWW-6500 by digitalww.com. So far the price per unit will be around 600.00-650.00 (I am waiting to see how much my shipping charges will be) plus shipping to your house. I am trying to gauge interest and the number of units. Please PM me or reply to this thread.

With a group buy there is a number of units that need to be bought before a price can be given. I am buying a unit for myself and offering other members to do all the hard work of shipping the units. The price has been set by the manufacturer there is not minimum count to meet. I am going through all the work of setting up the contacts and am willing to share the results of that work with the board. Seeing that the store on mp3car.com and digitalww.com and car-tft.com are sold out I thought that the other members might want to get the same unit that I am.

So let's get this straight....

You're going to buy X number of units and resell them at cost to whoever wants one, hopefully with a bulk discount from the manufacturer or reseller...

I'm still missing how this doesn't qualify as a group buy here....

I wish I got a discount. I dont unless I want to buy over 100 units. If only one person wants one then I'm still going to buy them. This would be closer to a reseller then a group-buy. There is not magic number to units, there is not great discount, there is nothing for me to gain by posting this other than trying to help out the forum that has helped me out.

With no minimum order, no discount and the fact that all the units will be shipped to my location and people whom have showed interest could purchase the units from me at my cost again this would be closer to a reseller (without any profit). If I posted that I had 10 units for sell would that be considered a group buy?

I am not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand the rules and limits of the forum. Say the word and I'll make it go away.

without any kind of inventory we would have to send it back to get fixed, I would just contact the company, create an RMA and ship it off from your location. Everything I've gotten from this company has been shipped 2nd day air. If I had any kind of inventory then I will handle the RMA, (within reason). I am not sure of the duration of the mfg warrenty, I'll ask.

The manufacturer is willing to sell them in quantities as low as one (1)? Then could just anyone follow your lead and order one? I have no need for one, but I'm always open to having the contact information for buying at direct prices if the need should arise.

So did anything ever happen with this? Can you tell us where you are buying the unit from, so we can buy it ourselves directly?

I nerver presuded this becuase of the price, and the fact that I found a similar unit with a Celeron 1.5, 80gb hdd, and 512mb. Now I am just saving up the 1500.00 for that unit.

The only contact I have for the orginal unit is an personal email address. All I did was google "double-din vga" and clicked away.
