Wow, it took me about 5 minutes, but I think I understood that. I'm guessing you meant "Why do people install aluminum tape inside their car before installing CarPC's"

The aluminum tape you refer to is probably sound dampening material. Such as DynaMat (http://www.dynamat.com/), etc.

It keeps your music inside the car, and keeps road noise out. Also reduces vibration and distortion from reflected sound.

And it has nothing to do with PC's, and only the sound quality of the interior.

I think you're meaning aluminum tape, not necessarily sound dampenter (like Dynamat).
Sound deadener is not needed for a vehicle PC installation. I believe he means shiny aluminum tape that you can get at any hardware store. It's used in duct-work, but isn't your traditional duct tape.
This stuff isn't cheap, either.

I believe the OP wants to use the aluminum tape to secure the PC in the vehicle. Am I correct about this, supra_161?

Assuming I understand the question correctly, I would advised against using tape of any sort to hold your PC in place. Even the strongest tape has its limits, and when those limits are reached it fails.
If the mounting of your vehicle PC fails, then you have a missile in an enclosed space. That's not a good thing.

Oh, that makes more sense. Yeah, using taping heavy things down is bad.. use bolts or screws.
