Wat do you guys do with the retail boxes

I'm sure everyone buys a lot of computer parts for his/her project. Some of you may even do custom installs and make your own custom enclosures for the components. For example, taking apart the IR receiver and mounting the guts behind a smoked plexi panel in the dash or something like that. What do you guys do with the card board boxes and plastic enclosures? I can understand keeping the plastic enclosures but what about the retail box? Do you guys keep it for warranty, resale or any other reasons?

Sometimes the retailbox is needed for warranty ( so i keep it or a piece of it ( for ex wit serial number)
If the box is pracitical i keep it to put electronik components inside for transport or all the parts needed for a project for ex.
Or I keep some very solid ones for shipping.

But normally I trow them away ( they are finishing later in recycling) .

Heh, you dont want to see my room, im really bad about not throwing retail boxes away for computer parts. and usually, i keep the extra parts that dont get used or those that get dismantled in the retail boxes. as was said, it is handy for rma, as well as selling the parts in the future.

I keep my boxes for about a year. Just to make sure incase of warrantee or return. Also, on some of my bigger more expensive items I keep the box forever...incase I move! There is no better protection than the original box, when moving.

I just ordered a whole bunch of crap for my setup. Now I have all these boxes left over and I dont know what to do with them. I already filled up the guest bedroom. My room room is almost full. I guess I can start putting smaller boxes inside the larger boxes.
