Sweet sarcasm batman! Well at least now I've seen effort.
Strange how a 15 second search on the forum here turned up this link... http://www.chetcodigital.com/vGauge/vDash.htm Now it's not QUITE what you asked for, but just an example of the info being there... go find, and if you can't, come back and ask more questions.
Serious bud... be nice. It's a question that's been asked a thousand times. So rather than reiterate the same thing 1000 times... people are told to search first. Once you search, effort is shown, I'll spoon-feed a bit. I just hate to show people up with my mad zearch skillz.

And then a more in-depth 7 minute search turned up this: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/lcd-...t-cluster.html
Hmm...
And now... your knowledge of what's out there is now on par with mine.
Look into the fusion brain. More than likely that'd be the easiest way to go.
EDIT: And you need to realize, sometimes the right answer isn't the answer you're looking for. In this case it's that it's still in development, there isn't a stand-alone solution out there yet that works 100% satisfactory.

it's not a forum anymore when the same question being asked 1000 times.
stop using the bandwidth for something that has been covered.

well shiver me timbers!!
i have found a few posts on the subject,,have read the fusion brain site, have looked up dakota digital dashes, saw how they do it,,
have still not found out at all, how it is done, how much it costs, where to get all the parts, whether they are all compatible,
now ladies and gentlemen, thanks for your replies, especially the helpful ones,
i will keep trawling thru bucketloads of posts,
but not being a comp nerd, geek,, and not having spent my life being one, it is quite a catchup process,!
furthermore!! i am in aus,, the comp stores are being informed by me, as to how to put a computer in a car!!! frightening!!
4 computer tech blokes, from biggish computer suppliers,, did not even know there as a dc>dc psu, that connects to a computer! i am having to train half the computer industry in aus, about where they should be heading!!
catching up too all you fella,s
so settle down, you lot, relax, go easy,
and lets get the rest of the world up to speed on carpc,s
cheers

We ship to Australia and lots of other places do too. Actually I think we have someone down there doing resells for us, but he hast got his website up yet. Might save on import/shipping costs.
And nobody around here knows about a CarPC really. Nobody at the major stores knows. I had Circuit City (Big-ish Electronics store in the states) install my amp and run VGA/USB/Extra Power cables and they were all very confused as to why. Couldnt grasp the concept. But they will run the wires if you ask them too, they dont have to know what it does. Now I do it myself, but I never openend anything up in my car before this, so it was a "take apart my car and put it back together" first hand lesson since they have an install bay you can be in and pester the people doing it.
