Here is my second attempt to explain my situation lol.
I have Mitch's audio selector which controls the signal of my HD Radio and aux/ipod 3.5 mm jack. Mitch's audio selector is then connected to the PC's LINE IN(blue) on the back panel.
I then have two audio jacks that could be used for a signal to my 4 channel amp. Green("Front Speakers", as listed in my IDT audio configuration page), and Black("Rear Speakers").
I finally got my HD Radio to work with Mitch's interface, and using a USB to Serial adapter. At the same time I NEEDED to get the audio selector working for the radio and my 3.5 mm jack. I installed all the necessary drivers and I finally had sound! (THIS IS WITH LINE OUT USING THE GREEN JACK). I restarted to the computer to be sure it was consistent and I had NO sound. Not from CF, not from itunes, not from anything. I opened the IDT interface and it shows BLUE(LINE IN), and GREEN("Front Speakers"). If I were to configure that LINE IN as "Side Speakers", my ..."Front Speakers" began to work.
I decided to use the BLACK jack as my LINE OUT and things seem to work fairly smooth. I am still curious as to why my front speakers don't work correctly. I do believe I am configuring everything correctly, but I could certainly be wrong.
--------------------------
Last but not least, the HD RADIO seems to produce sound strongly to the right side. It is VERY faint from the left. I've checked the audio selector to be sure the jack was inserted. I've also changed that (Y RCA->3.5mm) in case it was the actual cable. The connection with the audio selector seems to be a bit loose, but... my AUX input has full 4 channel sound so I don't believe it is a problem.
