mm87 is an unknown quantity at this point
monitor power cord crapped out

on my Xenarc 700 idt. i was using the one that plugs into the cig lighter and it just decided to stop working. i tested the monitor and the cig lighter and both are good.

any ideas as to where i can get another one of those?

or if someone could tell me how to hardwire it into my vehicle as i lost the manual for it

Im betting there a fuse inside the barrel of the lighter plug. If not I had the same issue with a liliput and had to cut the end off and inside there was a red and black wire.. the plug had split in it from removal and install alot..hope this help

the end of the barrel should unscrew and out comes a tube fuse which im almost certain is blown.

i didnt look so i dont know of its the fuse or not but, if it is why would it blow?

i ended up buying one of those universal ones from radioshack for 16 dollars

it could blow for many rmber reasons. but it always boils down to too much draw. its possible it has a split in wire and shorted the fuse. IM guessing the new barrel plug worked. Either way glad it was a easy fix.
