Acrylic single board pc case (work in progress)

Making a case for my aaeon sbc-675 that I picked up on ebay for 20 pounds. I got a 400mhz celeron, and 128megs ram. Also put in a 144mb diskonchip, still trying to get windows to boot from that...

Case is done execpt for the front, and everything still need to be wired up.

15"x5.25"x4.5" in clear acrylic. Going to go on the floor behind the drivers seat.

The place I got it from said it was 50W, it didn't have any stickers for rating tho.

It has usb, I haven't added the jacks for it yet. It'll have a parallel port and another serial aswell.

Hey G60, I have 2 of these boards on their way. Where did you get that PS?

And what's the problem getting it to boot from the DOC? I was thinking about buying some from ebay, but not if they don't work.

The ps came from here. Can't beat that price The fan is one of the 24v panaflos too.

The doc uses some upper memory... explanied here.
Basicly you have to edit win.ini before windows boots for the first time, and exclude some memory range. I'm just not sure what the range for this board is yet.

Read the manual for the board (its on the CD that comes with it). It shows that there are some jumpers that set the memory area for the DOC.... Should be what you are looking for.

the arise faq says 'emmexclude=d000-dfff', and in the aaeon maunal it says 'the doc occupies an 8kb window in the upper memory address range of D400 to E000.' It also has jumpers for DC00/D400/D800*(default).
So what should I put in the emmexclude=? D800-E000?
Hex is over my head

Hmm, I think the arise manual is making things more confusing here.

The aaeon manual on the other hand:
What it means is that the jumpers offer the option for the DOC to occupy 3 different locations of memory "in the upper memory address range of D400 to E000". So, for example: The jumpers are set to the D400 option, your DOC would occupy the memory D400 to D7FF. (well, i`m not actually sure if it's exactly D7FF, but that would be the value i would the range I choose to exclude.)

to sum it up:

D800 option: exclude d400-d7ff
D800 option: exclude d800-dbff
DC00 option: exclude dC00-dFff

It`s kinda hard to explain, hope you understand it ok...

Good luck, and if you get it going, let me know, as i`ll want one then.
